The Close is as comfortable as it looks: the round backrest makes for comfortable sitting because it shapes itself around you. Its elegance flows from its beautiful simplicity.

Close Lounge is the most comfortable furniture in the Close family: the rounded backrest, which also functions as an armrest, measures a width of 71.5 cm. This creates a generous refuge for which Ludvik was inspired by a small, cosy bay. The slightly sloping seat allows a relaxed posture. Like the chair and bench, the armchair is also softly padded and organically shaped on the inside, which moulds to the body. This forms a delicate contrast to the smooth contour of the overall piece of furniture.

The Close Barstool is an extremely comfortable high chair for the Arco standing tables. An ideal combination for short, informal meetings or for workplaces where standing and high seating are intertwined. The Close barstool can also be used outside the work environment, for example in bars and restaurants. The barstool is available in a height of 65 and 75 cm with a u-shaped foot in beech laminate with an oak top-layer. The foot support is metal with epoxy fine texture in light grey or black.


For the Close+, Ludvik refines the original Close, adding the option of a more generous format. Building on Arco’s drive to offer as much flexibility as possible, it also comes in a wide range of materials, from legs in oak and epoxy to seats in fabric or leather.
Close chairs meet Arco’s self-imposed guidelines for responsible manufacturing, including certified wood and the possibility to refurbish it whenever required.
